Beginner´s guide to getting started playing abandonware

Abandoneware is a term often used to describe computer software that is no longer distributed or supported by the developer or copyright holder.

Back in the 80´s, I bought a ton of games for my C64 and later the Amiga.
Now some thirty years later, I found the games playable on a PC. With the use of a emulator, such as DosBOX and Amiga forever. And recently I even bought some old games on STEAM. So I decided to replay some of my old games, and post it here on my blog.

It is easy to find some of the old games on STEAM and Google Play.
But if you want to play some of more than 14000 games that is out there.
I made a video on how easy it is, to get started with Amiga forever and C64 forever emulator.

You find the emulators here:
Amiga forever
C64 forever
DosBOX

To play Amiga games. I recomend the Amiga forever emulator. Value edition only costs € 9,95.

For C64 games you can use the easy C64 forever emulator.
But if you want a free emulator, the DosBOX is the best alternative.

I made at video on how to start playing with the Amiga and C64 forever.

Joystick
If you play C64 games, you definitely need a joystick.
Speedlink competition pro usb joystick is the best I have been able to find.
I bought mine on ebay for less than 100$. Mine is KOKO edition by the way.

CAUTIOUS! This may still be under copyright. If you do not own a original game or software.
I advise you to check with the publisher, before playing the game.
